Once common from Baja California to Puget Sound, the western pond turtle is listed as endangered in Washington and threatened in Oregon. Learn how the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Sustainability in Prisons Project and the Oregon Zoo are saving this tiny, long-lived turtle from extinction, and what you can do to help.
